National League Central rivals meet again Sunday when the Cubs play the Cardinals.

St. Louis finds itself firmly in the mix for a postseason spot, looking to catch either the Brewers for the NL Central crown or grab an NL wild card spot as the pennant race heats up.

A pair of young bats have helped spur the Cardinals' midseason turnaround. Masyn Wynn, a 22-year-old shortstop, has lengthened the lineup alongside Alec Burleson, a 25-year-old first baseman. Burleson entered the four-game series with a team-high 63 RBI.

Chicago, meanwhile, looks to keep its slim postseason hopes alive, while also playing spoiler to its archrival. The Cubs added one key reinforcement to their lineup at the trade deadline, acquiring All-Star third baseman Isaac Paredes from Tampa Bay.

And on Sunday, the Cubs will have their co-ace, Justin Steele, on the mound. The southpaw has a 3.38 ERA through 17 starts this season.
