Cole Hamels' return to Southern California wasn't as glamorous as maybe he would have liked.

“Now I can sleep,” Hamels said.

Hamels has had an excellent season for the Rangers, and he pitched a scoreless third inning Tuesday with two hits allowed and one strikeout. But we can add this to the growing list of embarrassing baseball injuries, even though it won't cost Hamels any time.

This was Hamels' fourth All-Star Game appearance. This season, he owns a 3.21 ERA and a 109:47 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 112 innings.
