While the stakes were high in the World Series, Cody Bellinger was not.
The Dodgers superstar often makes headlines for his spectaular play and boyish good looks, but during LA's World Series run, he was trending for something else entirely: The dude looked more baked than a pastry at your local Entemann's after a dazzling catch in the Dodgers' series vs. the Padres.

Bellinger's face would fast become a favorite meme on baseball Twitter, and given his empty stare, some questioned whether Bellinger was actually stoned during games. Speaking on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday, Bellinger discussed his glazed face that, uh, lit twitter ablaze during the MLB playoffs, and clarified that no, he was not smoking the ganja.

"I am not high during the games, OK?" Bellinger said bluntly. "If you look at me in the Little League World Series at 12, I look faded. I was not smoking when I was 12 years old, either. I'm not high, that's just how my face looks."
What makes the clip even better is how Bellinger's camera seems to freeze at the perfect moment, giving audiences a look at innocent but hilarious empty Bellinger stare.
We'll take Bellinger for his word here, but there's no denying that he gave the internet something to cling to in coming years.

It's good to know that the only thing Bellinger smokes during a game is the baseball. Unfortunately, we won't be able to use "Belli Bombed" anytime soon.
