Clayton Kershaw has had no problem putting the Dodgers on his back in the past. Now, maybe the burden is wearing on him, literally.
The Dodgers ace was still experiencing pain in his lower back Tuesday afternoon and will be sent back to Los Angeles for further examination, according to reports.

Kershaw first underwent treatment to correct the ailment Monday after giving up four runs in six innings on Sunday against the Pirates. He's scheduled to meet with the team's back specialist, Dr. Robert Watkins, Wednesday morning before determining a course of action. He'll remain with the team through Tuesday night's game in Milwaukee.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters the team is "hopeful" Kershaw can make his next start even though his back has not improved.
Roberts said Monday that Kershaw (11-2, 1.79 ERA) had been dealing with the back pain for "the last few weeks." Though the injury doesn't sound too serious, it was probably wise to get the left-hander checked out before it got worse.
