Chris Young appears to be set on staying put with the World Series champions.

The veteran right-hander is expected to re-sign with the Royals, according to the New York Post. The deal is expected to be for two years, worth between $10 and $11 million, the report said, and will be finalized by the end of this week's winter meetings.

The 36-year-old went 11-6 with a 3.06 ERA in 123 1/3 innings for Kansas City last season, logging key innings down the stretch and during the postseason. He was the winning pitcher in a 14-inning Game 1 the World Series and started Game 4, another Royals win.

Young will likely slot into the back end of the Royals' rotation this season.
