Chris Sale blows up over throwback uniforms, clearly misses Drake LaRoche's leadership image

Oh, Chris Sale.

The White Sox ace was sent home Saturday and missed his start because he reportedly didn't want to wear uncomfortable throwback uniforms and decided to cut up all the jerseys in the clubhouse during batting practice so nobody could wear them.

You know, like how any normal, level-headed 27-year-old man would react to a workplace disagreement.

Yikes.

But, honestly, we should've seen this coming. This is exactly the kind of thing that happens when leaders like 14-year-old Drake LaRoche aren't around.

MORE: White Sox go crazy over Drake LaRoche

Remember, Sale was one of the more vocal White Sox players when the team told Adam LaRoche in spring training that his teenage son could no longer hang out in the clubhouse all day, every day. Rather than play without his son along for the ride, LaRoche retired. But Drake LaRoche was beloved. One player even went so far as to call him a clubhouse "leader."

Without Drake's leadership, Sale clearly had no inspiration from which to draw, no cooler head from which to glean wisdom. So, naturally, he just cut up a bunch of jerseys.

Without leadership, chaos reigns.

Where have you gone, Drake LaRoche? The White Sox turn their lonely eyes to you.
