The Braves received one of the top baseball prospects in the country last December when they acquired shortstop Dansby Swanson from the Diamondbacks.
The comparisons have already began with Atlanta great Chipper Jones. Although Jones lauds Swanson immensely, he wasn't a fan of the immediate comparisons.

"I think it’s unfair (to compare)," the former Braves third baseman told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I’d like to see people let him carve out his own niche, don’t put any expectations on him. This kid could be anything from a Brandon Crawford shortstop to a Derek Jeter.
"This kid knows how to play the game. He’s not going to hit 30, 40 homers a year, so don’t put those kind of expectations on him. What he is going to do is help you win 95-100 games. That’s the most important thing — he’s a winner and the Braves are very lucky to have him."
Swanson is with the Braves' Double-A affiliate, the Mississippi Braves. He was invited to play at the All-Star Futures Game in San Diego on Sunday, but had a rough day at the plate, going 0 for 3 with a strikeout. Swanson is hitting .265/.348/.403 with five home runs and 29 RBIs so far this season in Double-A.
DRAFT FLASHBACK: 5 things to know about Dansby Swanson
Jones said the Braves have a gem with Swanson and his hardworking mindset.
"Maturity’s not going to be an issue," Jones said. "When his time comes, you’re not going to have to worry about that. They’re not going have to worry about if he’s overmatched; he’s not going to get himself into a mental funk. Seems like he has his head on right."
