New York fans can be unpredictable, but there's little doubt about who will draw the most vociferous reaction from the Citi Field crowd Monday night.

Chase Utley likely will be available for Game 3 of the Mets-Dodgers NL Division Series, as multiple outlets report his appeal of his two-game suspension will not be heard by MLB prior to the game.

While it would seem in all parties' best interests to have the Utley situation resolved as quickly as possible, CBS Sports reported Monday morning that the MLB Players' Association is opposed to a Monday hearing because it wants more time to prepare.

As is the case with all MLB suspensions, Utley is free to continue playing until his appeal is heard. That means he'll be Public Enemy No. 1 in Queens on Monday night, even if he isn't in the starting lineup. Because Game 3 is the first of the series at Citi Field, both teams' rosters will be introduced before the game.

Mets fans certainly will make their feelings known, two days after Utley ended New York shortstop Ruben Tejada's season with a rolling-block slide in Game 2 at Dodger Stadium.

While Utley remains available, the Mets on Monday added infielder Ryan Reynolds to their NLDS roster in place of Tejada. Reynolds, the team's second-round pick in the 2012 draft, has never played in a major league game.
