Charlie Sheen offered to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a World Series game in Cleveland, but Major League Baseball is not interested.

An MLB spokesperson, though, told the Associated Press that the decisions about who will throw the first pitches have been made and that the league and Indians have worked together to find "former franchise greats" for the honors (evidently, this guy was not among them). An announcement is expected early next week.
Indians players would probably have loved for Sheen to be a participant, because they’ve being incorporating elements from "Major League" into their season.

Indians players Mike Napoli and Jason Kipnis created a shrine to Jobu in the team’s clubhouse similar to what we saw in the movie. In the film, character Pedro Cerrano practices voodoo and prays to "Jobu" for help hitting curveballs, and as Cerrano did, Napoli and Kipnis have left gifts of rum and cigars for teammates to help them avoid slumps.
The Indians host Games 1 and 2 of the World Series against the Cubs or Dodgers on Tuesday and Wednesday, and if necessary, Games 6 and 7 on Nov. 1 and 2.
