The Charleston, S.C., RiverDogs will host tonight's Single A game against the West Virginia Power, the team announced Thursday morning.

A shooting at a Charleston church Wednesday night left nine people dead. Police identified 21-year-old Dylann Roof as a suspect in the shooting. He was taken into custody Thursday in Shelby, N.C.

The RiverDogs, an affiliate of the Yankees, play in the South Atlantic League.

"We all personally feel the grief of the horrifying tragedy that struck our community last night," said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. “Our hearts and prayers are with the families of the victims involved and with the law enforcement agencies working tirelessly in the wake of last night’s appalling and shocking event.”

All proceeds from Thursday's game between the RiverDogs and the Power will go to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund, a fund that will help support the families of the victims.

UPDATE: The team held a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting prior to the game.
