It would be difficult to find a fan base more excited about the MLB season than the St. Louis fan base, and for good reason.

Cardinals fans are fresh off seeing three of their players in the World Baseball Classic championship game: Reigning National League MVP Paul Goldschmidt, superstar third baseman Nolan Arenado and Japan's newest phenom, Lars Nootbaar.

But some fresh faces have St. Louis chattering as well. Willson Contreras takes over for Yadier Molina behind the plate, and the former Cub has spoken glowingly of his new organization all offseason. Rookie Jordan Walker is on the Opening Day roster, and MLB.com's No. 4-rated prospect is drawing a lot of eyes.

After a productive offseason, the Cardinals are the favorites to win the NL Central. They certainly have the roster to do it. But this season, their sights are set well beyond the division.

Here's a complete guide to watching the Cardinals this season without cable:

How to watch Cardinals games without cable

For those without cable, there are several options to stream Cardinals games this year:

— If you're in-market, Fubo carries Bally Sports Midwest, the Cardinals' RSN, but blackout restrictions apply. If you are within the market for Bally Sports Midwest, you can watch Cardinals baseball via Fubo. Those out of market will not be able to watch Cardinals games on the streaming service, since Fubo will not carry the out-of-market RSN.

— Inside market, DirecTV Stream also carries Bally Sports Midwest, as well as all of the networks that broadcast games nationally: Fox, ESPN, MLB Network, FS1 and MLB Network. These are all part of the service's Choice package for $99.99 monthly.

— If you live outside the Cardinals' TV market, you can watch games via MLB.tv.  For $149.99 for the season or $24.99 per month, you can catch every game from every team outside your local market. You can also pick a single-team option for $129.99 for the season. Again, this is only if you are outside the Cardinals' TV market: If you are inside the Cardinals' market, games will be blacked out. Games will also be blacked out if you live outside the Cardinals' market, but inside the market of teams the Cardinals are visiting.

Fubo is also carrying MLB.tv starting this year, for $25 per month on top of the Fubo subscription.

— For nationally televised games, there are a few options, with some exceptions: Fubo, SlingTV, and DirecTV Stream all carry ESPN, MLB Network and FS1. YoutubeTV and Hulu + Live TV carry ESPN and FS1, but they do not carry MLB Network in 2023.

You can check if games are blacked out in your area using MLB's blackout tool.
