The stars were on display during MLB's Little League Classic. Whether it was Adley Rutschman, Xander Bogaerts or Rafael Devers, it seemed that the matchup between the O's and Red Sox was littered with star power.

But no athlete's star burned brighter than that of Canadian wunderkind Jaxson Mayervich.

In an interview with ESPN's Buster Olney, Mayervich dished on his thoughts about everything, from his future career prospects to his penchant for home runs. It was, for lack of a better term, awesome to see.

Mayervich has been impervious at the plate and on the mound. He struck out 10 batters while collecting an RBI to lead his Vancouver-based Little Mountain Baseball All-Stars past Japan on Friday.

Despite his pitching exploits, it seems Mayervich is something of a hitting savant. At least that's how he described himself to Olney. Mayervich said he could smack a ball over the left field bleachers, arguing that "it's only 320 feet."

That's one way to get people talking about you.

Mayervich added that he dreams of being a ball player when he gets older. It's not the fame or money that appeals to him, though. It's the excitement.

"Hitting home runs would be fun," Mayervich told Olney.

He's not wrong.

Canada takes the field again when it faces off against Mexico on Monday (5 p.m. ET). Make sure to look out for Mayervich on the mound or at the plate. One way or another, it's hard to take your eyes off him.
