Despite all his immense talent, Bryce Harper occasionally reminds us that he's still basically a youngin' who's not fully matured. Saturday was one of those days.

The 23-year-old reigning NL MVP was ejected for arguing a called third strike in the 10th inning of the Nationals' game against the Rockies. Unhappy with umpire Mike Winters' call, Harper immediately turned to argue, and punctuated his displeasure by slamming his innocent batting helmet to the ground. That'll usually earn you the ol' heave-ho, and that's what Harper got.

Yes, the pitch was borderline. But Harper didn't do the Nats any favors with his reaction.

It only got worse from there for Washington. Minutes later, the Rockies surged ahead with a five-run 11th and went on to win 9-4.
