Despite a disappointing season, the Reds will retain manager Bryan Price next season.

Reds general manger Walt Jocketty told reporters Saturday that Price will return for his third season as the Reds skipper. Price, who is 139-183 at the helm since taking over for Dusty Baker, will enter the final-season of his three-year contract.

In the midst of a 63-97 season and currently on a 13-game losing streak, the Reds traded away Johnny Cueto, Mike Leake and Marlon Byrd at the trade deadline, while injuries have sidelined Homer Bailey, Billy Hamilton, Devin Mesoraco and Zack Cozart. Adding fuel to the fire, the Reds used a rookie rotation for the majority of the second half.

With a payroll likely to exceed $90 million next season, the Reds are in a tight spot as they look to rebuild, adding more pressure on Price.
