Brewers' Tyler Saladino hits two clutch grand slams in two games image

Entering this week, Brewers infielder Tyler Saladino ranked high on the made-up list of MLB position players least likely to hit a game-tying or go-ahead grand slam. He might have been worthy of top 10 consideration.

Now, though, we realize Saladino is a machine in those situations despite his measly .227 career batting average or 19 home runs in 319 games. He hit a game-tying grand slam Sunday against the Diamondbacks, then followed it up with another one to take the lead in the eighth inning Monday against the Reds.

The most recent blast wasn't cheap either, traveling 419 feet to center field

While the Brewers used Saladino's home run Sunday to fuel a comeback win, they wound up losing Monday.

At least they know now who they can trust with the bases loaded and the game on the line.
