After six games in the MLB in 2024, the Boston Red Sox have determined they've seen enough of Bobby Dalbec to option him back to Triple-A Worcester.
Dalbec has had tough stretches at the big league level starting in 2022, and this year wasn't any different. He struck out in six of nine at-bats to start the season, making this decision rather easy for Boston.
In 114 games with Worcester last season, Dalbec hit .269 with a .938 OPS. He launched 33 home runs and drove in 79 runs. However, the performance just doesn't translate to the MLB.
