A pair of Toronto Blue Jays players were injured while scuffling on field with the New York Yankees as benches cleared Monday night.
Blue Jays relief pitcher Joaquin Benoit will miss the rest of the regular season with a torn left calf muscle, manager John Gibbons told reporters Tuesday afternoon. Devon Travis, Toronto's starting second baseman, also was hurt during the scrum and aggravated a left shoulder injury pushing and shoving.
Travis said he was feeling better Tuesday after being unable to lift his arm following the game.
He missed the first two months of the season recovering from offseason surgery on the shoulder, and it's been a chronic issue since.
Travis, who's hitting .299/.331/.447 this year, was held out of the lineup Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles but expects to be able to return Wednesday.

Monday's dust-up began in the second inning of the 7-5 Yankees win when starters Luis Severino and J.A. Happ took turns plunking batters in their respective halves. After Severino hit Justin Smoak in the bottom frame, both benches and bullpens poured onto the field and players engaged in a heated confrontation.
Benoit, 39, said he felt a pop in his leg while running out of the bullpen to join the fracas. He hopes to return in two to three weeks.
Acquired before the trade deadline from the Detroit Tigers, the right-hander has helped to stabilize the Blue Jays' bullpen in the second half. He has a 0.38 ERA in 25 appearances since the trade.
