Mark Buehrle will make his final appearance on a major league mound Sunday.

According to multiple reports, the Blue Jays left-hander is slated to throw the first two innings of Toronto's final regular-season game against the Rays, then call it a career.

Buehrle's two-inning performance will bring him to 200 innings for a 15th consecutive season. He reigns as the league's active leader in games started with 492.

Buehrle, 36, played his first 12 seasons for the White Sox. During his tenure with Chicago, he tossed two no-hitters including a perfect game, appeared in four All-Star games, earned four Gold Glove Awards and won a World Series championship in 2005. He spent the 2012 season with the Marlins before being traded to the Blue Jays the next year.

Buehrle holds a 15-7 record with a 3.82 ERA and a 91/32 K/BB ratio in 198 innings this season and is 214-159 with a 3.81 ERA and a 1,870/733 K/BB ratio in 3,282 2/3 innings over his 16-year career.

The Blue Jays are bound for the the postseason, though Buehrle is not expected to be included on the roster. Toronto sits atop the AL East and will play the first game of the ALDS on Oct. 8.
