Ken Giles could be back in action Sunday.
The Blue Jays closer is listed as day-to-day with nerve inflammation in his elbow, Toronto manager Charlie Montoyo announced Saturday.
Giles was held out of the team's 2-1 win over the Yankees due to the elbow issue, which Montoyo claimed was related to a massage the pitcher received during the All-Star break.
Giles’ story is a bit different. Says he indeed had the massage but felt it playing catch when he returned after the break. He claims it’s nothing serious, just a bit “tingly.” #BlueJays

Giles downplayed the severity of the injury after the game, saying he wasn't required to undergo an MRI exam and might be cleared to throw in the series finale slated for Sunday.
"Nothing serious," Giles said, via the Toronto Star . "Just a little fatigue. I got some work done during the All-Star break. A little sore from it still, so we’re being cautious with it. Just a little irritated. I’m day-by-day right now and hopefully I’ll be back on the mound tomorrow."
It was rumored that Giles was held out of Saturday's game because he had been traded — with the Twins or Yankees the most likely destinations — though that turned out not to be the case.
The 28-year-old has converted 13 saves with a 1-2 record and a 1.45 ERA in 31 innings this season.
