Best MLB prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Friday 7/14 image

The wait is over. As MLB returns to action on Friday night, SuperDraft users can once again craft their favorite player prop parlays for the 15-game slate. This weekend's slate features several interesting series, highlighted by an NLCS rematch between the Phillies and Padres along with a rare Friday night game under the lights at Wrigley between the Cubs and Red Sox.

With SuperDraft posting its typical slew of total base, strikeout, and fantasy point props, we've pinpointed several we feel yield value, hopefully resulting in some extra DFS cash at the end of the night. Users who sign up for SuperDraft can pick their favorite over/unders via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes.

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite player props on SuperDraft for Friday night's MLB slate. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Corey Seager, SS, Rangers vs. Guardians - OVER 7 fantasy points

Seager and the first-place Rangers look to get back on track after losing their past three series (vs. Astros, @ Red Sox, @ Nationals). While the Rangers' pitching staff's inconsistencies plagued them during their mini-skid, Seager's continued to do his part at the plate. He enters the second week of July with the league-best expected batting average (.334 xBA) and the third-highest hard-hit rate (57.1 percent).

He'll face Cleveland righthander Aaron Civale (3-2, 4.39 xFIP) in Friday's series opener, and although lefties are hitting just .202 against Civale in '23, if there's one lefty who can post a multi-hit performance against him it's Seager. Seager boasts a .363 average against righties this season and has enjoyed batting at Globe Life Field, slashing .387/.451/.685 at home this season. Look for the All-Star shortstop to stay hot at the plate and go OVER seven fantasy points.

2. Luis Arraez, 2B, Marlins @ Orioles - OVER 1.5 bases

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Arraez continues to be the league's toughest out, and while it will be quite the uphill battle to bat .400 come early October, Arraez likely raises his batting average a couple of points in his first game post-All-Star break. Despite failing to record two-plus bases from hits in the Marlins' most recent three-game set against the Phillies, Arraez and J.D. Martinez were the only players to record two base hits in Tuesday's All-Star game.

We think Arraez churns out two-plus hits against Dean Kremer (4.94 xFIP, 1.84 HR/9) and the Orioles bullpen on Friday night, as lefthanders are hitting .307 and slugging .540 against Kremer this season. Kremer also ranks below the league average in K-rate (22 percent) and whiff rate (24.9) which isn't a great sign against the contact-heavy Arraez (7.4-percent whiff rate).

3. Mookie Betts, RF, Dodgers @ Mets - OVER 1.5 bases

Although Betts tallied the fewest number of home runs during Monday's HR Derby, he's amid a torrid stretch at the plate, sporting a 1.038 OPS that includes nine home runs over his past 15 games. Betts has a real shot to record an extra-base hit against Justin Verlander tomorrow night, as Verlander hasn't been as dominant following his Cy Young campaign in '22.

Verlander sits in just the 21st percentile in hard-hit rate, struggling to rack up strikeouts (19.7 strikeout percentage). That's not a great sign for his prospects against the Dodgers' leadoff hitter, as Betts sits in the 87th percentile in hard-hit rate while striking out just 16.4 percent of the time. Back the do-it-all superstar utilityman to start the weekend right with another solid night at the plate.

4. Randy Arozarena, LF, Rays @ Royals - OVER 7 fantasy points

Was anyone surprised to see "Big Game Randy" advance to the Home Run Derby finals while also robbing Freddie Freeman of a home run in the All-Star Game? Arozarena's knack for showing up in the big moment held true in Seattle, and he looks to keep his momentum rolling against Royals' rookie righthander Alec Marsh (0-2, 7.00 ERA).

Arozarena's fared significantly better against righties than lefties this season, batting .290 with a .869 OPS as opposed to a .238 average and a .800 OPS against lefties. Marsh has yet to find his groove in the bigs, surrendering nine hits and three long balls in his first nine innings, potentially leading to a multi-hit performance.
