The Royals continued their push to another American League title by trading for Athletics utility man Ben Zobrist on Tuesday and sending two pitchers to the A's, according to Fox Sports.
Zobrist, who seems to be comfortable all over the diamond, will likely fill the Royals’ void in left field left by Alex Gordon, who went out just before the All-Star break with a groin strain.

The Athletics will receive reliever Aaron Brooks and minor league pitcher Sean Manaea in return for Zobrist, who has a .268/.354/.447 slash line with six homers and 33 RBIs in 67 games this season.
