Ben Zobrist bikes to Wrigley Field in his uniform … and it's awesome image

Ben Zobrist has been riding his bike to home games at Wrigley Field this year, but Saturday he had a better idea — why not get dressed for work before leaving the house on his bike? His wife, Julianna, captured the moment and posted it on Instagram as the Cubs second baseman/outfielder rode off to the ballpark.

My man is an old soul who plays old school baseball. @cubs

"Ever since we’ve lived a mile away from Wrigley Field, I’ve wanted to ride my bike to the field," Zobrist said in the video. "I’ve been doing that this year. And I thought, ‘You know what? I just need to bring my uniform home, and ride ready for the game on the way to the field.’”

So Zobrist rode off on his bike, wearing his PF Flyers, the shoes made famous in the 1993 movie "The Sandlot."

“Guaranteed to make a kid run faster and jump higher," Zobrist solemnly noted.

So next time you're walking down the street near Wrigley Field on game day and see a guy in a Zobrist uniform riding a bike, that's not just a big Ben Zobrist fan. That really is Ben Zobrist.
