Ben Rice ended a 2-for-27 slide in the best possible way.
With the New York Yankees down 3-2 against the Baltimore Orioles in the top of the ninth inning, Trent Grisham and Oswaldo Cabrera both worked walks.
Facing Orioles closer Craig Kimbrel, Rice demolished a four-seam fastball 405 feet to give the Yankees a 5-3 lead with a three-run homer to right field.

Since his three-homer game against the Boston Red Sox on July 6, Rice had been in a bit of a slide. However, he came through in the biggest moment going into the All-Star Break.
However, the Orioles wound up walking off against the Yankees in the bottom of the ninth inning thanks to some incredibly poor defense.
The Yankees enter the All-Star Break behind the Orioles by one game in the division.
