Roger Clemens was only halfway to being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015, yet he's all the way over voters snubbing him.

Clemens, winner of 354 games and a record seven Cy Young Awards, said on CBS Sports Radio on Tuesday that doesn't "lose sleep" over the Hall voting, which this year saw him named on only 37.5 percent of 2015 ballots, well shy of the 75 percent needed for induction.

Apparently at issue for voting members of the Baseball Writers Association of America: Allegations of performance enhancing drug use, although Clemens never failed a drug test during a career in which he recorded 4,672 strikeouts, third on the all-time list, and was found not guilty on all counts of lying to Congress during testimony in which he said he never used PEDs.

Appearing on the "Tiki and Tierney" show Tuesday morning, Clemens said of the snubs in the three years of his eligibility: "I don't lose sleep over it. I know what I did it in my career, and how I did it, and I did it right."

In a wide-ranging interview, Clemens congratulated the 2015 Hall class — Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, John Smoltz and former Astros teammate Craig Biggio -— but also talked about former Yankees teammate Alex Rodriguez, another Hall of Fame-caliber player who likely won't get into Cooperstown because of his ties to PEDs.

Rodriguez, unlike Clemens, admitted using PEDs after initially denying it and was suspended by MLB.

"When you get around Alex as a teammate, he's a really good guy," said Clemens, who was A-Rod's teammate with the 2007 Yankees. "Sometimes you think he's trying too hard to be liked. Other than that, he's a good player, he does his homework and I just wish guys like that stay healthy."
