Pedro Martinez made history many times throughout his baseball career. On Tuesday, the pitching great did it again.

Martinez was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. In doing so, he becomes the first Hall of Famer who was born in the 1970s. How's that for a bit of trivia?
