Andrew McCutchen, Pirates help rescue groundskeeper during storm image

Cool moment in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night: Andrew McCutchen, Sean Rodriguez and other Pirates players came to the aid of a grounds crew member who had been swallowed by a runaway tarp. McCutchen and others then helped keep the tarp from blowing away.

The gesture no doubt brought good karma McCutchen's way: Pittsburgh's MVP center fielder laced an RBI double in the third inning to get the Bucs on the board. It also brought bad karma as well: Padres outfielder Justin Upton later made an athletic over-the-wall catch to rob McCutchen of a home run.

Baseball players have a history of helping the folks who help keep the field playable. One of the most famous examples happened in 2007, when the Phillies rushed to the aid of the Rockies' grounds crew as a storm blew into Coors Field:
