Alex Rodriguez, Brett Gardner forget how to slide, catch fly ball image

Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez and outfielder Brett Gardner failed at some of the basics against the Orioles on Thursday.

A-Rod attempted some kind of slide-fall-panic combination into home in the bottom of the first inning. Tom Emanski would not approve.

Gardner didn't fare much better in left field as he botched a fly ball in the top of the fourth.

Don't worry Yankees fans. New York took down Baltimore by a final of 9-3. Style points don't matter in a win.
