Dressed in a bright orange Marlins jersey and stationed behind home plate during pivotal MLB playoff games, the "Marlins Man" has caught everyone's attention since last season.

But Laurence Leavy, a 59-year-old Miami lawyer, is about more than attending big playoff games. Before the Royals' Game 2 win over the Blue Jays on Saturday, Leavy donated $5,000 to each of the two families of Kansas City firefighters who were killed battling a two-alarm fire in Kansas City on Monday.

It's not the first time Leavy has used his status for donations. Last season, the "Marlins Man" put his notorious jersey and visor on eBay to raise more than $5,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
