ALCS 2015: Missouri town gives 'Blue Jay Drive' much better name image

The town of Liberty, Mo., is only a 20-mile drive north on I-35 from Kansas City, even closer as the Blue Jay flies.

Wait, sorry — don't even mention "Blue Jay" to the good citizens of Liberty these days. With their beloved Royals battling the Blue Jays in the ALCS, city officials decided they hate the term so much, they renamed a street known as "Blue Jay Drive" with a more appropriate name.

MLB.com first reported the story. Omnisport is first to report that, just in case the Royals advance to the World Series — they are up 2-0 on Toronto — there is not a "Cubs Street" or "Mets Drive" in Liberty.
