Imagine you have an extra $19,200 to do whatever with. What better to purchase than a dirty baseball?

The baseball that Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar hit for an inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the first inning in Game 1 of the World Series was auctioned off for $19,200 on Wednesday. The ball fielded 84 bids in eight days, according to ESPN.com.

Escobar's inside-the-park home run was the first in a World Series game since Mule Haas of the Philadelphia A's did it in 1929.

Other items auctioned off by MLB included a Game 1-used third base for $6,260 and two game-used balls that sold for $900 and $1,220.
