ARLINGTON, Texas — The Texas Rangers have put third baseman Adrian Beltre on the 15-day disabled list.
Texas made the move just before Sunday's game, when they added newly acquired right-hander Hector Noesi to the roster.
Beltre hasn't played since coming out of Tuesday's game at Boston with a strained left quad. His DL move is retroactive to Wednesday, and he could be eligible to come off the DL as early as April 24, a day off for Texas.
The Rangers are being cautious with Beltre, who manager Ron Washington said came out of a workout Saturday with no issues.
Noesi was acquired Saturday from Seattle for a player to be named or cash. He was designated for assignment April 4.
