New York Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge exited Tuesday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles after getting hit by a pitch in the bottom of the third inning.
Judge, whose 4.9 fWAR currently leads all MLB players, suffered a painful injury after taking a 94 mph fastball from Orioles starter Albert Suarez off his left hand.
Before Judge left in the bottom of the third inning, he was 1-for-1 with a single and a run scored. His single had a scorching 110.2 exit velocity.

Aaron Judge injury: Yankees star provides update on hand
Imagining came back negative on Judge's hand
Judge told the media that he did not suffer a fracture and that both tests came back negative.

Judge also said that because all the tests came back clean, he may not have to miss any time at all. It likely will come down to handling the swelling.
Slow-mo view of the injury
It's no wonder Judge was in pain after taking this pitch to the hand. This slow-motion view of the hit-by-pitch shows just how flush the fastball connected with Judge's bottom hand.

Judge not the only star this week to have injury scare
In an odd coincidence, Judge isn't the only high-profile star to suffer this kind of injury this week. Dodgers star Mookie Betts fractured his hand after getting hit by a pitch just days prior. He was struck by a 98-mph fastball from Royals reliever Dan Altavilla and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, even though the injury will not require surgery.
Fortunately, Judge was lucky enough that he didn't suffer a fracture.
