Who will the Yankees play in the MLB playoffs?

With a guaranteed first round bye, the No. 1 Yankees went straight to the ALDS.

They will play the No. 5 Royals, who beat the No. 4 Orioles in the Wild Card series. The ALDS will begin Saturday, Oct. 5 in New York.
