New York Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake was ejected Thursday night after arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire Edwin Moscoso.

Yankees catcher Jose Trevino came to the plate as a pinch hitter with two men on base and one out down 5-3 in the top of the eighth inning.

He worked a 3-0 count and should have walked on the fourth pitch. However, the high pitch was called a strike, extending the at-bat.

Trevino wound up striking out looking on another questionable call — but this one was close enough to fight off.

Subsequently, Blake was ejected after the at-bat for arguing balls and strikes.

Trevino should have tried to foul the 3-2 pitch off, but the entire inning and likely the game changed when Moscosco made the incorrect call.
