The New York Yankees and New York Mets made a rare trade Friday with the latter acquiring minor-league catcher Luis Torrens.

Torrens had a solid showing during spring training with the Yankees and has been off to a strong start at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The veteran catcher has been working at other positions as well, including first base, considering the depth the Yankees have at catcher.

In 30 games at Triple-A this season, Torrens is hitting .279 with five home runs, 19 RBI and an .807 OPS.

The Yankees received $100,000 in exchange for Torrens, per Joel Sherman of The Post.
