New York Yankees' Aaron Judge earns MLB honor after historic month image

In the least surprising news ever, New York Yankees star Aaron Judge was named the American League Player of the Month following the historic stretch he put together in May.

MORE: 10 wild stats from Aaron Judge's historic month

The Yankees captain put together arguably the most productive month in MLB history. He set a handful of records throughout the 28-game span.

Judge hit .371 with 14 home runs, 12 doubles, 27 RBI, 22 walks and a 1.415 OPS. His batting average on balls in play was a ridiculous .400 while his wRC+ paced the league at 282.

He started the month with six home runs to his name and ended the month leading MLB with 20 home runs. He also raised his season average 75 points from .207 to .282.

Judge firmly put himself back into the MVP conversation and is likely leading that charge despite an incredibly slow start to the 2024 campaign.
