The New York Yankees have been one of the best teams across MLB for the majority of the 2024 season, but they stumbled a bit over the last week.

Entering Tuesday, the Yankees are riding a low point in the season thus far. They've lost three consecutive series for the first time this season and have lost seven of their last 10 games.

They dropped two division series against the Red Sox and Orioles before losing their third against the Braves at home before Monday's day off.

Doing so will certainly bump the Yankees out of the top spot in the power rankings for the majority of outlets.

Here's a look at where the experts have the Yankees in the most recent power rankings:

MLB power rankings: Yankees stumble from top spot

Will Leitch, MLB.com: No. 1

Previous Ranking: No. 1

What they said: "If the Orioles hadn’t been swept in Houston, they’d probably be in this spot. Of course, if they hadn’t been swept in Houston, they could've been in first place in the AL East. But they’re not. The Yankees still are. For now."

The Athletic: No 2

Previous Ranking: No. 1

What they said: "The Yankees have some questions in the bottom half of their lineup and on the right side of their infield — and now they have to make up for injuries to Anthony Rizzo and Giancarlo Stanton — but their rotation has been steady, and now that Cole is back from the IL, the team has two aces instead of one."

Fangraphs: No. 1

Previous Ranking: No. 1

Using their Elo rating system, which they define as "an elegant solution that measures teams’ relative strength and is very reactive to recent performance," the Yankees have a rating of 1,595—just ahead of the Phillies at 1,581.

Gabe Lacques, USA TODAY: No. 2

Previous Ranking: No. 1

What they said: "Ben Rice's debut, J.D. Davis acquisition spice up the infield corners."

Matt Snyder, CBS Sports: No. 3

Previous Ranking: No. 1

What they said: "Gerrit Cole is back and they appeared to dodge a major bullet with Aaron Judge's hand getting hit with a pitch. Giancarlo Stanton going down really hurts, though. He's quietly been very good this season."

Bleacher Report: No. 3

Previous Ranking: No. 2

What they said: "Last week's three-game losing streak was the first time all season the Yankees have lost more than two games in a row, so they have earned the benefit of the doubt of that being just a bump in the road. That said, another series loss to the Orioles dropped them to 2-5 with a minus-18 run differential against their toughest competition in the AL East race."
