New York Yankees star Juan Soto is fully back.

After returning to the lineup as the designated hitter for Monday's series opener against the Kansas City Royals, Soto is playing the field for the first time since the forearm injury became an issue.

The 25-year-old star is batting in his typical No. 2 spot sandwiched between leadoff Anthony Volpe and MVP candidate Aaron Judge. He's also slated to play in right field.

Though Soto played through the left forearm inflammation for roughly 1-2 weeks before shutting it down for a few days, this is a significant step for the Yankees slugger.

Now, it's all a matter of making sure the injury remains at bay.

Considering the fact that the Yankees enter Tuesday's slate of games with the best record in the American League and the second-best record in MLB, it would have made sense for the Bronx Bombers to take extra caution with the young star.

However, the Yankees and the training staff must feel pretty comfortable with Soto's progress after getting three consecutive days off over the weekend.

In other lineup news, Judge returns to centerfield after a rest day while Anthony Rizzo is back in the lineup after getting two days off to clear his head.

The fan-favorite first baseman has struggled over the last month or so and has just one hit in 29 plate appearances since the start of June.

The Yankees and Royals are set for an 8:10 p.m. ET first pitch at Kaufmann Stadium on Tuesday night.
