The New York Yankees got some initial positive results from the imaging on Juan Soto's forearm injury Friday afternoon.
After the star right fielder was pulled from Thursday night's game due to left forearm discomfort, imaging revealed Soto is dealing with inflammation, according to a report from The Post.
Manager Aaron Boone also mentioned before Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers that they don't expect Soto to hit the injured list.
While Soto isn't in the lineup Friday night, Boone didn't rule out the potential for the 25-year-old to be available throughout the weekend.
Boone considers Soto day-to-day and also noted that the imaging was clean on both his forearm and his elbow. Soto won't receive any injections, but there will still be treatment for the star outfielder.
It seems the Yankees dodged a major bullet here. With Soto out of the lineup at least for Friday night, Aaron Judge goes back to right field, and Trent Grisham will get his second start in a row in center field.
