The New York Yankees are getting a starter returning to the lineup Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Rays.

After missing two games due to a re-aggravation of his groin injury, Gleyber Torres is back in the starting lineup at second base and batting fifth behind Alex Verdugo.

Torres has struggled at the plate and in the field for the majority of the season but after a temporary benching two weeks ago, he's rounding into form.

Over his last seven games, Torres is hitting .308 with one home run, four RBI and a .783 OPS.

The Yankees have been linked to several potential additions at second base ahead of the July 30 MLB trade deadline so it will be interesting to see what happens with Torres over the next few weeks.

Either way, the Yankees need him to continue rounding into form as they attempt to end a 6-16 skid over their last 22 games.
