The New York Yankees reinstated outfielder Alex Verdugo from the paternity list, the team announced Thursday.

Verdugo missed the first three games of the series against the Baltimore Orioles. Entering the final game of the series Thursday afternoon, the Yankees have lost two of the three games.

Verdugo was recently moved to the cleanup spot in the lineup and has been improving over the last few weeks or so. For Thursday afternoon's game, Verdugo is in the lineup batting sixth and playing left field.

Over his last 15 games, Verdugo is slashing .302/.391/.472 with two home runs, eight RBU and eight walks in 53 at-bats.

In a corresponding move, catcher Carlos Narvaez was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre.

The Yankees and Orioles wrap up the four-game series with a first pitch at 1:05 p.m. ET.
