The Dodgers offense got a much-needed jolt from Will Smith on Tuesday when the designated hitter blasted a solo home run to open the scoring in a 3-0 win over the Mets. He got Los Angeles going again in New York on Wednesday when he belted a solo home run in the second inning to open the scoring once again.
Not only did it mark Smith's eighth home run of the year and second in as many days, it's also the first time since June 24-25 of last season that he homered in consecutive games.
LA is looking to finish off a sweep of the Mets after taking both games of a doubleheader Tuesday.
