One night after notching his first ever hit at Oracle Park in San Francisco, Shohei Ohtani launched his first ever home run out of that ballpark.
Leading off the top of the fourth inning Tuesday night, Ohtani blasted an 89 MPH hanging slider from Giants starter Keaton Winn an estimated 446 feet onto the concourse in right-center field.
His monster blast cleared what's known as "triples alley" in San Francisco -- an area of the yard not many players have ever hit home runs. It was an impressive shot from the Dodgers' star and gave him 12 HRs on the season. It also put the Dodgers up 1-0 against their National League West rivals.
