The Los Angeles Dodgers already have one of the best rosters in baseball but could look to make another major splash.
Los Angeles was the most aggressive team in baseball this past offseason and made a massive investment in the club. The Dodgers are set up to be among the league's best teams for years to come but somehow could have more money to spend when the 2024 season comes to an end.
The Dodgers surprisingly were listed as a possible option to land New York Yankees superstar slugger Juan Soto if he were to leave in free agency, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.
Heyman listed the 10 most likely landing spots for Soto and had the Dodgers at No. 3. The Dodgers could use some help in the outfielder, but it would be extremely surprising to see them hand out another contract near or above $500 billion.
The Dodgers already have an extremely expensive roster. Landing Soto would make sense on the field, but financially it would be difficult to make a move.
Los Angeles already is considered to be one of the top contenders in the National League and easily could be in the mix for a World Series title this year. While seeing Soto in Dodger blue would be great, Los Angeles fans shouldn't get their hopes up at this point about a possible deal.
