The Dodgers have acquitted themselves well in almost every big series they've played this season. Milwaukee entered Friday night's game just one game back of Los Angeles, and winning or sweeping the series would further establish the Dodgers' National League superiority.
Winning Game 2 may be a difficult task though with James Paxton on the mound for LA against Freddy Peralta for the Brewers, but the Dodgers have one distinct advantage in that matchup. BetMGM Sportsbook has it as essentially a toss-up contest.

Prediction
It may be hard to pick the Dodgers with Paxton on the mound given how his last start went. He gave up 12 hits and nine runs in 4.0 innings against the Giants. Prior to that he was rolling, and he's been very good at Dodger Stadium which bodes well for Saturday's showdown against the NL Central leaders.
Peralta hasn't been great for Milwaukee either, and on the road he's had trouble with his command. He's walked 23 batters in 49.0 road innings vs. 10 walks in 45.0 home innings. Conversely, Paxton has been excellent at home with a 2.51 ERA in five starts.
If LA is patient at the plate and takes the free passes Peralta doles out, they should be able to hang up a few runs. As long as they get another good Paxton start at home they'll grab another win against the Brewers.
