Dodgers betting odds: LA heavy favorites to get series win vs. Rockies image

Wednesday night's loss to the Rockies was a tough one for the Dodgers. They led 6-4 and looked to be in control of the game, ready to put themselves in a position for a four-game sweep Thursday afternoon. Then the wheels came off and Colorado exited the game with a 7-6 walkoff victory.

The good news for Los Angeles is the betting odds say they're heavily favored to get out of Colorado with a series win. Here's what the odds look like on BetMGM with Gavin Stone on the mound for LA against Ty Blach for the Rockies:

Run line

Dodgers -2.5: +100
Rockies +2.5: -120

Moneyline

Dodgers: -225
Rockies: +180

Total

Over 12 runs: -105
Under 12 runs: -115

Prediction

A 2.5-run run line is kind of wild, especially when Blach has actually managed a very respectable 3.76 ERA in eight appearances (six starts) at home. It's a little less wild when Stone is starting on the other side though.

The Dodgers' 25-year-old starter has a 3.01 ERA this season and he shutout the Rockies in 5.0 innings when he faced them at Dodger Stadium on June 2. LA's offense has been rolling at Coors Field and with Stone pitching as well as he has this season they should be able to grab a series win relatively comfortably, even if Blach pitches well.

Dodgers 7, Rockies 3
