The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees were in the middle of the third inning of their Friday night matchup at Yankee Stadium before the skies opened up for rain to pour down onto the diamond.

Right as the rain began to fall, the grounds crew brought the tarp out, and the game entered a rain delay in the bottom of the third inning with no men on and no outs for the Yankees.

It's unclear at this point when the game will resume, but the broadcast has said heavy rain is supposed to last around 50 minutes.
