The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees are expected to meet on Friday for the first of three games at Fenway Park (once the rain lets up).

Whenever both teams do take the field, however, it will be the first time that Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo plays a game at Fenway since he was traded from Boston to New York this offseason.

While Verdugo said earlier in the week that he's excited to be back, he said pregame that he knows his reception from the Fenway Faithful won't be pleasant.

Lucky for Verdugo, Fenway hasn't exactly been filled with Red Sox fans recently, so, at worst, there will be a smattering of boos in the crowd in between the cheers from traveling Yankee fans.
