The Boston Red Sox met the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field for their second of four games on Friday and were promptly handed a 7-2 loss, ending the home team's 14-game losing streak.

Boston's offense wasn't good enough, scoring just two runs which came on an error and one of the strangest steals of home you'll ever see by Jarren Duran.

However, that's really all the offense did. They recorded four total hits and struck out 14 times.

Pitching wasn't much better for the Red Sox, as Cooper Criswell gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk in 4 1/3 innings. Greg Weissert followed that up with by allowing two runs on two hits in his 1 2/3 innings, and Brad Keller finished it out by allowing a run on a hit and a walk in the last two innings.

The loss brings Boston back to that .500 record (32-32) that they've been floating around all year. The two teams will meet again for Game 3 on Saturday.
