With MLB All-Star festivities starting on Saturday, the Boston Red Sox had three of their prospects in action with Marcelo Mayer and Kyle Teel competing in the Futures Game, while Roman Anthony took part in the Futures Skills Showcase.

Teel went 2-for-2 with two doubles in the Future game, and Mayer went 0-for-2.

However, the star of the day was Anthony, who won the Skills Showcase.

Competing against seven other prospects in three challenges, Anthony struggled in the first two rounds. The outfielder then bounced back with an impressive performance in the Home Run Derby, hitting six (the most of any competitor) in eight swings to secure his victory.

The competition will actually air on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. ET on MLB Network.
